Best Selling Designed in Dorset Products for January

Designed in Dorset has been live for just over a year now and sales are on the increase across the board. As a unique marketplace supporting Dorset Based businesses, it gives us great pleasure to see sales up 100% on last year. With over 70 Dorset based businesses designing and making their own products for sale on the website we now have over 700 items for sale.

A bumper Christmas with customers looking to support a local business instead of shopping with the usual suspects like Amazon and Ebay, we have seen an uplift boosted by the lockdowns. Not only were customers looking for unique handmade Covid related products such as facemasks, they were also looking for special gifts for family and loved ones that could have been made in their village or town.

Our best selling items for this month have been as follows:

1. Handmade Greeting Cards by Celia Harvey Art

These stunning greeting cards are hand made in Dorset by Celia. If you are looking for a unique gift card to go with your next gifting opportunity then we couldn't recomend them more.

2. Tie Die Hoodies - Style by Soph

Our own children are now wearing Sophie's beautiful creations and she proved popular over the Christmasd period for parents looking for unique gifts for their children.

3. Handmade Triple Layer Face Masks - Thomas and Mae

One of the first Dorset businesses to join us on Designed in Dorset, Thomas and mae are continuing to provide safe face coverings to help us combat Covid. They have been making a beautiful range of masks which include khaki, glitter ball and plain to name a few.
These handmade Willow Birdfeeders are the must have item for the upcoming birdwatchers week. Especially with all the crazy weather we are seeing. How better to look after the local bird population of Dorset than with a pair of these.
