If you have had a chance to look at our website homepage, you will see some new images on the banner. We have to admit to being slightly slack on that front recently and have stuck with the same summer image of Durdle Door. As a result we ran a competition on a Facebook group called Love Dorset. It's a fun group of Dorset enthusiasts who share photos of the county on a regular basis. If you want to get a feel for just how beautiful this land of ours can be then head over and have a look at some of the stunning images available.
We love this one of Hengitbsury Head with the beach huts as a central focus. The peace of the inner harbour with the ferry in the foreground and if you look closely you can see paddleboarders in the distance. The beach huts are some of the most prized properties in Dorset and can go for hundreds of thousands of pounds. Thank you to Nick Meek for the photo and the chance to use it.
The second photo above is of Christchurch Priory with the Harbour down in front. A church has occupied this site for over 1300 years and seen the comings and goings of visitors to these isles for centuries. On the edge of the huge natural harbour of Christchurch it sits in the centre of the town.
Thank you to Nick for the photographs and in return we have given Nick £10 worth of shopping vouchers for his Christmas shopping on Designed in Dorset.
