Representing Dorset at a Virtual Number 10

This week, Jim took part in a meeting with the PM's small business advisor, Alex Hickman. As an advisor member of Enterprise Nation we get opportunities to voice our opinion on the state of the economy and how government support is effecting what we do. The event took place on Monday and included 20 other buisnesses from across the South of England, we each got a chance to raise our concerns about the future and explain how the government has been helping us to survive what can only be described as the most challenging of times.

Meeting the PM

Comments from fellow attendees included raising concerns about the funding available for mentoring, what are the plans for the immediate future and more. The feedback was positive and will be fed back to Boris Johnson as part of governemtn plans to reach out and talk to small business as opposed to just the large corporates. It's great to know they are listening and hopefully our opinions will have a good effect on the near future, especially the upcoming budget, which has the ability to make or break quite a lot of businesses in the near term.

We will always to ake the opportunity to represent small businesses in Dorset whenever we can. As a representative of over 80 small businesses across Dorset, it is important that we ensure we are all represented fairly and to a bigger audience than could be achieved by us individually. If you want to find out mroe please give us a call.
