How could we have missed World Gin Day? One of the most important dates of the year for any Gin connaisseur, especially Rupert, who loves a tipple every now and then. In fact, he enjoys his Gin so much that he can't bear to be parted with the bottles once empty and creates beautiful Gin bottle lanterns as keeps sakes and gifts (more on this another time) for friends and family. The real reason is that we have been too busy onboarding one of Dorset's finest Gin brands to the website, so it is a fitting excuse in our eyes. Not only that but our drinks cabinet is filling up fast with a trip to the Melbury Vale Vineyard yesterday morning to talk about their local wine and how we can help promote them.
Fordington Gin joins Designed in Dorset
We have known Ros Nelmes, the mastermind behind Fordington Gin for a long time and have frequently crossed paths at networking events across the County. She mixes her passion for food and drinks with extensive knowledge of local organic ingredients to create her range of gins. It is with delight that we can announce the inclusion of Fordington Gin into the Designed in Dorset Community and be able to promote her fantastic Gins to our growing audience. Ros has developed the brand from her kitchen table into a multi-award-winning product that can be found on shelves and in cabinets across the country and indeed the globe.
We now Dorset food and drink brands are popular and well renowned across the world but not many have won the awards that Fordington has. The Gin has already won Gold at Taste of the West, Gold at the International Women’s Wine and Spirits Award, Silver at the World Gin Awards and shortlisted by Great British Foods (2019).
Welcome aboard to Ros and her colleague Felicity, we look forward to working closely together and for us to grow together. You can find Ros's Gins here at the Drink Cabinet.
