This is a set of two hand-printed Prussian Blue Cyanotype greetings cards that would be nice to frame. I print each of my cards by hand, using the photo-sensitive Cyanotype process and a digitally produced contact negative. The negative of the Fleet in Dorset is printed on water-colour paper and affixed to good quality white card. Blank inside, the cards are 15cm square and come with good quality white envelopes. FREE delivery to UK mainland postcodes by Royal Mail (2nd class).
The Cyanotype process is a 19th Century photographic process that uses iron salts and sunshine to create a beautiful Prussian Blue colour; it is the original 'blueprint'. In the 1800s, botanist Anna Atkins was the first person to use photographs to illustrate a book by using Cyanotypes and this is the same process that I use today!
