This is a hand-printed Prussian Blue Cyanotype greetings card of a vintage patent that would be nice to frame. I print each of my cards by hand, using the photo-sensitive Cyanotype process and negatives from illustrations of 19th Century inventions. The illustration was printed on good quality water-colour paper and then fixed onto white card. Blank inside, the card is 15cm square and comes with a good quality white envelope.

The Cyanotype process is a 19th Century photographic process that uses iron salts and sunshine to create a beautiful Prussian Blue colour; it is the original 'blueprint' and was used by architects and engineers to reproduce drawings. In the 1800s, botanist Anna Atkins was the first person to use photographs to illustrate a book by using Cyanotypes and this is the same process that I use today!
