This is a set of three hand-printed Prussian Blue Cyanotype greetings cards that would be nice to frame. I print each of my cards by hand, using the photo-sensitive Cyanotype process and digitally produced contact negatives. The feather and foliage are have been directly printed from Nature and the bird is from my original negative. All printed onto good quality water-colour paper and affixed to white card. Blank inside, the cards are 15 x 10.5cm and come with good quality white envelopes. Please note: as each card is made by hand, images may differ slightly in appearance from those illustrated.

The Cyanotype process is a 19th Century photographic direct printing process that uses iron salts and sunshine to create a beautiful Prussian Blue colour; it is the original 'blueprint'. In the 1800s, botanist Anna Atkins was the first person to use photographs to illustrate a book by using Cyanotypes and this is the same process that I use today!
